17/8 slots Compact Media Converter Chassis
FMC-CH17 & FMC-CH08
The FMC-CH17 is a 2U 19-inch chassis supporting up to 17 media converter slots, while the FMC-CH08 is a compact 2U 10-inch chassis with 8 media converter slots. Both FMC chassis are designed as cost-effective solutions for low-density fiber media converter installations where management functions are not required. Each FMC series or VDTU2A-130B converter operates as an independent Ethernet-to-fiber or Ethernet-to-copper media converter. These converters can be deployed as standalone units or installed within the FMC-CH17 or FMC-CH08 chassis for centralized mounting.
The FMC-CH17 supports dual power supplies, providing redundant power capability with two selectable power options. In contrast, the FMC-CH08 supports a single power supply configuration. AC power supplies operate over a wide input range of 100–240 VAC, while DC power supplies support 36–60 VDC input. An integrated cooling fan ensures stable airflow, maintaining internal temperatures within the specified operating range for reliable long-term operation.
